●The EH500 is a dual-unit AC/DC electric locomotive introduced by JR Freight in March 2000.
Assigned to the Sendai General Railway Depot, EH500 units primarily haul freight trains between the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Tohoku region.
Units 1 and 2 are classified as the "First Series" and are distinguished by headlights and tail lights positioned at the bottom of the front end, a large JRF logo, and a "Kintaro" logo placed in a high position.
Currently, Unit 2 has been modified to feature the standard "Kintaro" logo without the JRF mark, while Unit 1 remains in service with its original appearance.
