The Tora 90,000 was created by modifying the Tora 35,000 and 25,000 open-top vehicles to transport wood chips used as raw material for paper, and there were a total of 2,239 vehicles. Towards the end of Japan's National Railways period, ``Torokko trains'', which were converted into passenger cars by attaching seats and roofs to the Tora 90000 series, appeared one after another. At the Takasaki Driving Station, there are four Tora cars, 90647, 90856, 91318, and 91339, which were converted into passenger cars at the Koriyama factory in 1986. His nicknames were ``Haruna'' and ``Myogi.'' It was used in combination with other passenger cars and towed by various locomotives such as EF55, EF60, DD51, and DE10, but was scrapped in October 1997.
