To increase transportation capacity in anticipation of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, the 30000 series carriages that began operating on the Midosuji Line in 2011 have been improved for the Chuo Line, with a total of 10 trains being introduced in 2022. The exterior of the carriages uses dots to symbolize the bustle of Osaka and the shining image of its people, and the sparkle dots represent a new future in which people, cities, and vehicles are more organically connected than ever before. These trains are currently in service on the Chuo Line and the Kintetsu Keihanna Line, which they connect to.
