●W7 Series Hokuriku Shinkansen
The W7 Series Shinkansen, which debuted on the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Kanazawa and Nagano, opened in 2015, has the same basic design as the E7 Series, which runs on the same section, but there are differences in the logo and body markings.
After its introduction, some of the windows were closed in 2015 (cars 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10) due to the installation of luggage storage space on the train, and then the renovation work spread to all ordinary cars except for car 11 of the Green Car and car 12 of the Gran Class, and has continued to this day.

The E7 Series/W7 Series of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which is attracting attention due to its extension to Fukui and Tsuruga from the timetable revision in March 2024, will be reproduced in its current form and commercialized. It is recommended to combine it with the third sector of parallel conventional lines running in Hokuriku and the Hokuriku Limited Express.
