●E7 Series Hokuriku Shinkansen "Kagayaki"
After its introduction, some of the windows were closed (cars 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10) in 2015 due to the installation of an on-board luggage storage area, and then all ordinary cars except for car 11 (green car) and car 12 (gran class) were modified to the present day. It is highly versatile and is currently in use on the Hokuriku Shinkansen as well as the Joetsu Shinkansen. It can also be seen on out-of-service trains and some special trains that run north of Omiya on the Tohoku Shinkansen.
◆ Equipped with a newly developed slotless motor as standard
By adopting a newly developed slotless motor, it demonstrates smoother and quieter running performance than existing motors.
