●Service began in October 2024, marking the introduction of Kintetsu Railway's first new model of standard commuter train in 24 years.
The exterior features a distinctive octagonal design; while it projects the image of a train for a new era, the styling also honors Kintetsu's long-standing traditions.
The interior utilizes "L/C seats" that can be switched between longitudinal and transverse configurations based on passenger volume, and each car includes two designated spaces—dubbed "Yasashiba"—to accommodate strollers and large luggage.
Door control switches have also been installed to help maintain the interior temperature during extended stops in summer and winter.
A total of 48 cars are being introduced across the Nara, Kyoto, Kashihara, and Tenri lines during the 2024 fiscal year, with plans for further fleet expansion.
