Takamatsu Kotohira Electric Railway Series 1200 (Kotochan Hiyaku) 2 cars
Information
The Takamatsu Kotohira Electric Railway 1200 series was acquired in 2003 (Heisei 15) from the Keihin Electric Express Railway 700 series. After modifications to the control equipment and motor count, and the addition of wheelchair spaces, it was introduced to the Kotohira Line. It was the first four-door train for the Takamatsu Kotohira Electric Railway.
Furthermore, in June 2006 (Heisei 18), the Yoshida River Bridge on the Nagao Line was rerouted and the curve was improved, allowing for the operation of larger 18-meter class trains. As a result, the 1200 series was also introduced to the Nagao Line.
The 1200 series on the Nagao Line differs from the 1200 series on the Kotohira Line in that the broadcasting power voltage is different, making coupling impossible. Therefore, it is distinguished as the 1250 series.
