● The Taki 1000 was introduced in 1993 as a high-performance tank car capable of operating at a maximum speed of 95 km/h to increase the speed of freight trains. Since then, it has been continuously produced for 28 years with improvements, and in 2021, the number of manufactured units reached 1,008. The Taki 1000-1000 was completed as a "1000th unit commemoration" and was completed in a special specification painted in three colors of green, blue, and light blue, representing the three companies that own the Taki 1000: Nippon Oil Transportation and Nippon Oil Terminal, and JR Freight, which operates it. In addition to the logo marks of each company, the words "Taki 1000-1000 Commemoration" and "Environmentally friendly, safe and secure oil tank car transportation" are adorned on the left and right sides of the tank body, respectively.
