● The Taki 1000 was introduced in 1993 as a high-performance tank car capable of operating at a maximum speed of 95 km/h to increase the speed of freight trains. Since then, it has been continuously produced and improved over 28 years, reaching a total of 1,008 units manufactured in 2021. From 2024, vehicles with the COSMO mark on the side of the body have appeared and can be seen mainly on trains heading from Hamagoi Station, where the Cosmo Oil Chiba Refinery is located, toward Koriyama, Utsunomiya, Kuragano, Hachioji, and Minami-Matsumoto.
