The Deki 200 series was produced in three units in 1963. This locomotive has a bogie with a unique L-shaped axle beam structure, and compared to the previous Deki 100 series, it underwent a model change with improved power, a rounded body shape, and the addition of two headlights, and became the standard form of Chichibu Railway electric locomotives thereafter. The body color was originally brown, but when the blue Deki 500 series was introduced in 1973, the Deki 200 series was also repainted blue. Due to a decrease in freight transport volume, No. 202 and No. 203 were transferred to Sangi Railway in 2000. The remaining No. 201 is mainly used as a deadheading locomotive for the steam locomotive-pulled train "Paleo Express". Since 1996, the livery of the 201st locomotive has been changed to match the SL train "Paleo Express", first with a green and gold stripe to match the livery of the 12-series at the time, then in 2012 it was changed to reddish brown to match the livery change of the 12-series, and then in 2020 it was changed to black with a zebra pattern. With this black livery, it was the first car to have the new circular and blue logo mark established in 2019 affixed to the body.
