Information
"Tsudoi" was launched in 2013 (Heisei 25) in time for the Shikinen Sengu (period rebuilding of the shrine) of Ise Shrine as a modified 2000 series train. Initially, it operated mainly between Ise City and Kashikojima as a tourist train, and the carriages were decorated with colorful illustrations of the attractions of Ise Shrine and Ise, Toba, and Shima.
In 2024 (Reiwa 6), the exterior was redesigned to have a "yellow green" as the main color, and the interior decoration, including the carpet and table colors, was given an overall brighter atmosphere, in line with the design theme of "nature and people gathering together to enjoy a lively and lively time." It is now used as an event train, such as a cycle train and a beer train.
