Information
"Tsudoi" was launched in 2013 (Heisei 25) as a modified 2000 series train to coincide with the Shikinen Sengu (period rebuilding of the shrine) of Ise Shrine. Initially, it operated mainly between Ise-shi and Kashikojima as a tourist train, with colorful illustrations of the attractions of Ise Shrine and Ise, Toba, and Shima painted on the carriages.
In 2018 (Heisei 30), the interior and exterior were renovated, with the paint color changed to brown and footbaths installed inside the carriages. Since July of the same year, it has mainly operated between Kintetsu Nagoya and Yunoyama Onsen, and is also used as a special group train on the Kintetsu Line.
