The Hankyu 8300 series is a train manufactured from 1989 for the Kyoto Line. There are differences in form depending on the time of manufacture, with the second batch having a change in the front shape, a larger destination display on the front, and a change in the position of the car number, while the third batch has differences such as larger front windows.
It is mainly in 8-car formations and is in service on the Kyoto Line, Arashiyama Line, Senri Line, and Sakaisuji Subway Line, but 6-car formations have been used coupled with two 7300 or 8300 series cars, and have also been seen in service on the Arashiyama Line alone.
Currently, changes have been seen, such as updated running equipment and whitening of headlights.
