The Hankyu 1000 series is a train that was introduced on the Kobe Line and Takarazuka Line in November 2013, and is being added to replace the resistance-controlled cars.
The 19m long, three-door cars with aluminium bodies are equipped with the latest technology, making them more energy-efficient than existing cars and reducing noise, with the aim of further improving environmental performance.
All trains are manufactured in eight-car formations, and are used for a wide range of trains, from local to limited express.
The safety equipment installed in the leading cars differs between the Takarazuka Line and Kobe Line formations, with some formations being equipped with equipment that can be used on both the Shinpo Line and Shinpo Line.
