Keihan 8000 Series (Express Premium Car) 8cars

Information
The Keihan 8000 series is a limited express train that was introduced when the Oto Line opened in 1989. Initially, it was used in conjunction with the 3000 series, but due to its unexpected popularity, it was decided to convert all limited express trains to the 8000 series, and by 1993, ten seven-car trains were finally completed. In the fall of 1997, double-decker cars were introduced and incorporated into the trains to form eight-car trains. In June 2008, the body color was changed to a chic and bold design with a two-tone base of "elegant yellow" and "elegant red" with a thin stripe of "elegant gold" at the border, completely changing the image. As a result of meticulous service such as changing the stations the trains stop at in response to trends in passenger needs, the double-decker cars have continued to reign as the flagship of the Keihan Railway, which is highly popular, and has continued to dominate the line. However, in August 2017, as an even more advanced attempt, one car in the train was converted into a "Premium Car", a paid reserved seat car. It boasts high utilization rates due to its high-grade interior and additional services such as customer service by dedicated attendants. Paid seating services in the Kansai region, which were established by the Premium Car, have spread to other Keihan Railway models as well as other companies in the Kansai region, and this vehicle can be said to be a pioneer.
