Information
The Tarumi Railway TDE10 series is a diesel locomotive that was introduced to coincide with the opening of the railway. At the time of the opening, there were three cars in the line: the newly manufactured No. 1, and No. 2 and No. 3, which were acquired from the Kinuura Rinkai Railway.
Originally painted in colors close to those of the Japanese National Railways, No. 1 later had V-shaped white lines added to the front and sides of the cab, and No. 2 was changed to a blue and yellow-based paint scheme for towing the Usuzumi Fantasia.
No. 1 and No. 2 were in service until the complete abolition of freight trains in 2006.
