Hakone Tozan Railway Series 2000 St. Moritz (Allegra paint)
2 Cars Set

Information
Hakone Tozan Railway is a railway that runs between Odawara and Gora with a maximum gradient of 80‰ (per mille).
The 2000 series St. Moritz was introduced in 1989, and the first and second sets were manufactured as two-car sets.
In 1993, an intermediate car was manufactured for each set, making it a three-car set, but in 2004 the intermediate car was transferred to the 1000 series, making it a two-car set again.
Since 1999, the second set has been painted to match the cars of the Rhaetian Railway in Switzerland, with which the line has a sister relationship, but in 2014 it was repainted in Allegra paint to coincide with the start of operation of the 3000 series Allegra, and it is sometimes operated as a three-car set coupled with one 3000 series car.
Since the paint change, the headlights have been changed to LEDs and single-arm pantographs have been installed, changing the appearance.
