Privately owned Hoki 10,000 for Pacific cement coal 10 Cars Set

Information
Hoki 10000 is a 35t coal-only open-bottom hopper car manufactured from 1980 to the following year. At the time, the demand for coal transportation increased due to the oil crisis, and 272 cars were produced in two years for Chichibu Cement (now Pacific Cement) and Denki Kagaku Kogyo. Chichibu Cement cars are mainly used between Ogimachi Station on the Tsurumi Line and Migajiri Station on the Chichibu Railway. The car loaded with coal leaves Ogimachi Station as a 20-car train and runs on the JR line. After arriving at Kumagaya Freight Terminal, the train is split and sent to Migajiri Station on the Chichibu Railway Line as two 10-car trains. In 2000, with the construction of Chubu Centrair International Airport, about 100 cars were transferred to Sangi Railway and used for transporting aggregates. After that, the company name markings on the car body were gradually changed to "Pacific Cement" from around February 2008. Coal transportation to Migajiri Station on the Chichibu Railway ended in March 2020, and the Hoki 10000 was retired.
