Information
Series 185 is a DC limited express train that started operation in 1981.
The 200th appeared as a replacement for the 165 series on the Takasaki / Joetsu line and for the express upgrade after the opening of the Joetsu Shinkansen line.
From 2012 to 2015, the painting of the 185 series OM08 organization was changed to the JNR express color reminiscent of the 157 series.
