Basic 3 Cars+ 4 Cars Add-on
7 Cars Set
Information
●The 289 series is a limited express DC electric train created by modifying the 683 series 2000 series, which was used for the limited express "Shirasagi," to replace the 381 series, which had previously been used for the limited express "Kuroshio," "Kounotori," "Kinosaki," and "Hashidate." Significant changes can be seen, such as the removal of AC equipment from the roof, the removal of equipment from the central part of the car body, and changes to the window arrangement due to the partial conversion of the Green Car into a half-compartment. The 289 series used for the limited express "Kounotori" and "Kinosaki" consists of 4-car and 3-car formations, and operates in formations of up to 7 cars.
◆ Equipped with a newly developed slotless motor as standard
By adopting a newly developed slotless motor, it demonstrates smoother and quieter running performance than existing motors.
