●The E259 series, which debuted in 2009 as the second generation of the "Narita Express" connecting various parts of the Tokyo metropolitan area with Narita Airport, underwent a gradual redesign of its vehicle design from 2023 onwards, based on the concept of "evolution as a new E259 series," taking into account the changing purposes of use. The new E259 series design features a silver-based color scheme on the front and sides of the lead car, reflecting "various situations in which it is used" and "the ever-changing scenery of the areas along the line." From 2024, it began operation on the Sobu Main Line's limited express "Shiosai," and accordingly, the aircraft logo on the side of the lead car was removed.
