●We will be producing a model of the JR West KiHa 181 series, which played an active role in connecting the San'in and Sanyo regions throughout Japan.

The KiHa 181 series is a diesel railcar for limited express trains that appeared during the JNR (Japanese National Railways) era, and even after the transition to JR, it continued to operate as a limited express train on non-electrified sections throughout Japan. JR West-owned vehicles were widely used on the intercity limited express "Kunibiki" in the San'in region, the San'in-Sanyo limited express "Oki" and "Inaba," and the "Isokaze," "Hakuto," "Hamakaze," and "Asashio" connecting San'in to Kyushu and Kansai.
