●The Aichi Loop Railway is a 45.3 km long line that runs from Okazaki on the Tokaido Main Line to Kozoji on the Chuo Main Line via Shin-Toyota, where it connects with the Nagoya Railroad Toyota Line and Mikawa Line. It is a third-sector railway that opened in January 1988, combining the Okazaki-Shin-Toyota section of the former Japanese National Railways Okada Line with the newly added Shin-Toyota-Kozoji section. Between 2002 and 2009, the Aichi Loop Railway 2000 Series, based on the 313 Series 3000, was introduced and is in service on all sections of the line. Starting March 13, 2025, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Aichi Expo (Aichi World Expo), held along the line in 2005, a commemorative train featuring a replica of the design of the trains that ran at the time will be introduced.
