The 18C type container is a 12ft two-way opening container that was introduced in 1988, expanding the capacity of the earlier 18A type.
Along with the 18D type, it was used for freight transport in the 1990s, but with the introduction of successor containers such as the 19D type, it was withdrawn from use by around 2010.
