●The 313 series was introduced in 1999. With specifications tailored to the line they are used on and a wide variety of car models, it has become the face of JR Central's commuter and suburban trains. The 5000 and 5300 series belong to the Ogaki Electric Railway Depot and are widely used in the Chukyo region. The interior features all-reversible cross seats, and a major feature is the use of inter-car dampers and (5000 series) semi-active devices to improve ride comfort at high speeds. The 5000 series is made up of 6 cars, while the 5300 series is made up of 2 cars, and for "Special Rapid Service" services, long trains of up to 8 cars can be seen in operation.
