Alpine convex locomotive Ge6/6-I Rhaetian Crocodile
information
The Ge6/6-I, commonly known as the "Rhaetian Crocodile", is a rod-driven, six-axle electric locomotive that was introduced in 1921 with the electrification of the Albula Line. It has been used for many years to pull various freight and passenger trains, and even now, more than 100 years later, two of them are still preserved in working order. They continue to be used as if they were still in active service, not only as event trains but also in the summer when they are incorporated into regular timetables in formations with other historic passenger cars and open panoramic passenger cars.
