Sangi Railway's Wamu700 series consisted of 12 cars, which were purchased from JNR Wamu80000 series cars and were used to transport bagged cement between Higashi-Fujiwara and Tomita from 1985 to 1996.
All cars have now been retired and are used as warehouses within Hodo Station and other locations.
In 2024, the Wamu380000 series cars acquired from JR Freight were repainted black and renamed Wamu712.
