●The "Mahoroba" limited express train connects Osaka and Nara. Previously, it operated as a temporary train, with variations in the rolling stock, route, and stations served. From March 2025, it was upgraded to a regular service, and from April, dedicated rolling stock was introduced: a refurbished 3-car train of the 683 series 2000 subtype, redesignated as the 6000 subtype. The first train set, named "Annei," introduced in April, features a body paint scheme using "gold, representing overflowing vitality and abundance," and "suou (sappanwood) color, derived from dyes introduced from the continent during the Nara period and frequently seen in treasures from that time." The design is characterized by its expression of "the radiant sunlight of paradise," illuminating the peace and tranquility of all things.

By adopting a newly developed slotless motor, it demonstrates smoother and quieter running performance than existing motors.
