Informatiuon
●The overnight local train "Hayatama" ran 502.1 km between Nagoya and Tennoji, via the Kansai Main Line, Kisei Main Line, and Hanwa Line. Its nickname was given to the train due to its compatibility with the MARS system (a reserved-seat ticket reservation and issuing system that has been in operation since the days of the Japanese National Railways). When it first began operation in 1959, it was called "Nanki," but the name was ceded to a diesel express train. It was renamed "Hayatama" in the 1978 revision. The train consisted of older passenger cars, such as 43 and 35 series, from the Ryuka Passenger and Freight Depot, 10 series lightweight passenger cars, and 10 series sleeping cars from the Shingu Depot. It also had a mail baggage car attached. In addition to the passenger cars, the 924 train departing from Tennoji was notable for having one car departing from Wakayama City on the Kisei Main Line, undergoing coupling work in Wakayama.

◆The third installment in the "Night Local Train" series is the "Hayatama," which connected Osaka and Nagoya via the Kisei Main Line. This train is full of variety in both its locomotives and passenger cars, and locomotives such as the EF58 and DD13 from Ryuka Locomotive Depot that pulled the train are also scheduled for release at the same time. It also comes with the license plate for the DD13 that was used to pull the "Hayatama" between Wakayama City and Wakayama.
