information
The EF210 series is a DC electric locomotive that has served as JR Freight's mainstay ever since the prototype appeared in 1996.
The 0-generation series was the first mass-produced EF210 series, appearing in 1998, with 18 cars manufactured, all of which were assigned to the Okayama Locomotive Depot.
The nickname "ECO-POWER Momotaro," which has ties to the Okayama area where it was first assigned, was chosen through a public naming contest.
In 2019, the train was repainted in blue with a white stripe, and in 2020, the sides of the carriages were wrapped in the "Momotaro" character.
