Information
●A total of 20 Hoki 5200 cars were manufactured by Hitachi between 1958 and 1961.
It is a 30-ton open-top hopper car with a unique exterior shape. For loading and unloading by gravity, there were two cars equipped with an operating room to open and close the gate-type bottom door on the car body by air pressure for each train, and these cars were always included in the train. A private freight car owned by Tosa Lime Industry, it was used for limestone transport trains that carried limestone from the Tosa Lime Industry Private Line to the cement factory via Togano and Tanogo on the Tosan Main Line, and transported 100,000 tons of limestone per month by piston transport with DF50 double-unit towing over a section of about 13 km.
