Information
The Taki 29300 series is a tank car manufactured from 1976 for concentrated sulfuric acid, and the cars owned by Furukawa Co., Ltd. (Furukawa Mining) were initially based out of Ashio Station.
After freight service on the Ashio Line was abolished, they were used based out of Kosaka Station on the Kosaka Railway, but were retired when the railway was abolished in 2008, and Taki 29312 is now preserved in working order at Ashio Station.
Every spring and autumn, when they are open to the public, they are towed by a locomotive and made into exhibition runs.
