Information
The Kintetsu 1026 series is a train based on the 1020 series that has been manufactured since 1993 for the Kyoto and Nara lines. It uses VVVF control and bolsterless bogies, and six 4-car trains and three 6-car trains were manufactured.
The exterior of the Narashika Train is fully wrapped with original illustrations by illustrator Gemi, which are inspired by the scenery and deer of Nara. The interior of the train is decorated with Gemi's illustrations, as well as cute deer-shaped straps and seats that resemble deer's backs, making it a fun train to ride.
The 1026 series 1029 train "Narashika Train", which began operation in April 2023, is active on the Kintetsu Nara Line, Osaka Line, and its direct destinations, the Hanshin Main Line and Hanshin Namba Line, among others.
