●The Tokyo Metro 16000 series was introduced in 2010 to replace the aging 6000 series on the Chiyoda Line. In addition to the Chiyoda Line, the train also operates on the JR Joban Line and the Odakyu Line, and is active in a wide range of areas. There are 1st to 5th trains, and the 1st, 2nd and 5th trains were manufactured with a structure called efACE (E-Face) by Kawasaki Sharyo. The first 5 trains (1st train) are characterized by having the front emergency exit located in the center of the car body, unlike the other trains.
◆From the Chiyoda Line 16000 series, we will be producing the 1st train with the front emergency exit located in the center. By lining it up with the existing 2nd and 5th trains, you can enjoy the difference in shape depending on the manufacturing time, and we also recommend playing with the trains on the Joban Line that it runs on.
◆ Equipped with a newly developed slotless motor as standard
By adopting a newly developed slotless motor, it demonstrates smoother and quieter running performance than existing motors.
