- The HB-E300 series "Hinabi" was named with the hope of providing a "warm and relaxed journey" based on the concept of "the nature of northern Tohoku" and "regional connections". The exterior is designed to express the image of a train connecting regions and the rich nature, in the commonly known "Morioka color" of a white base with red lines, which is widely used for diesel railcars in the Morioka branch office area. It debuted in December 2023 and is active in both Aomori and Iwate prefectures.
