The 12200 series is a limited express train of Kintetsu Railway that appeared in 1969.
Early carriages produced were equipped with a snack corner, just like the 12000 series, and were affectionately nicknamed "snack cars."
The snack corner in the leading car was omitted from additional carriages, and production of the first intermediate cars for this series began.
At one time it was the largest of Kintetsu's limited express trains, and after several updates it continued in service for a long time, but it was retired from regular service in 2021.
