●We will be reproducing the EF65 No. 1118, the second rainbow-painted EF65.
As the first rainbow-painted EF65 No. 1019 became old, the EF65 No. 1118, which appeared in 1997, features a design with the "EF65" logo on the side glass. Initially, the H-rubber color of each part was gray, but it was changed to black during the inspection in March 2000, which was a flower decoration when the Super Express Rainbow was retired in the same month. Even after the passenger cars were retired, it continued to be used with the same paint, and in 2006, an air conditioner was installed, and during the inspection in 2009, the "EF65" logo on the side glass was omitted.
◆It is recommended as a towing engine for the 24 series 25 type sleeper express "Ginga" scheduled to be released at the same time.
◆ Equipped with a newly developed slotless motor as standard
By adopting a newly developed slotless motor, it demonstrates smoother and quieter running performance than existing motors.
