The E235-1000 series is a new type of train that has appeared on the Yokosuka-Sobu Rapid Line for the first time in about 26 years. Based on the E235 series for the Yamanote Line, it is a train that incorporates a two-story green car, and the basic train's motor unit is equipped with an emergency running power supply device, and since the battery is installed under the floor, some equipment is installed on the roof.
