Myte 49, which traveled around various places as an event train for JR West

Myte 49 appeared in two cars in 1938 as Suite 37040 type. Initially, it was used for the express "Fuji", and after several name changes, it became Myte 49 after changing its name. It was scrapped once in 1961 and exhibited at the Osaka Transportation Science Museum, but was renovated and revived in 1987. After being inherited by JR West, it was operated as an event train in various places along with the general passenger cars Ohafu 33 and Oha 46. It was stored at the Kyoto Railway Museum on October 11, 2022, and is currently exhibited together with Oha 46.
