information
In 2011 (Heisei 23), JR Kyushu introduced the first limited express train on the Ibusuki Makurazaki Line with the opening of the entire Kyushu Shinkansen (Kagoshima route). The vehicle, which was created by modifying the Kiha 47 type two-car train, has a bold design with the sea side half painted black and the mountain side half white. The interior is basically a two-seater reclining seat, a four-person compartment and a sea side. We boast a wide variety of customer service facilities, including single-person seats facing the side. In addition, the train's name, ``Ibusuki no Tamatebako,'' which is based on the legend of Urashima Taro along the line, has also become a hot topic, as the device that sprays a mist resembling white smoke from the roof while the train is stopped has become a hot topic. Currently, three round trips a day connect Kagoshima Chuo and Ibusuki. Since March 2012, Kiha 140-2066, originally used for Hayato no Kaze, has been repainted and added as a spare/additional vehicle.
