Information
The 14 series 500 series was introduced from 1981 to 1983 by remodeling from the 0 series to replace the older 10 series sleeper passenger cars used on express trains in Hokkaido.
The Oyu 10 type was introduced in 1957, and was a mail car owned by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.It was equipped with compartmentalized shelves inside the car and was used throughout Japan as a ``running post office.''
The express ``Marimo'' is an express train that connects Sapporo to Kushiro, and a portion of the express ``Karikachi'' that previously connected the same section via the Nemuro Main Line via Takigawa and Furano will be transferred via the same line in conjunction with the opening of the Sekikatsu Line. It appeared in October 1981 with the following changes.
