The DF200 type is an electric diesel locomotive developed by JR Freight, and a prototype appeared in 1992.
When Unit 9 of the 0 generation appeared, the skirt was red and the JRF mark on the side was reddish-purple.
From No. 10 onwards, the skirt was gray and the JRF mark on the side was white, but now all No. 0 models have red skirts and white JRF marks.
The 0th generation has been consistently active in Hokkaido since its appearance.
