JNR type AC/DC electric locomotive EF81, commercialized in the original general color. Style without JR radio antenna or Joban radio antenna.
With the electrification of the Japan Sea Jukan Line between Osaka and Aomori, it was developed in 1968 as an AC/DC electric locomotive that can run through the three types of electrified sections (DC 1500V, AC 20000V 50Hz/60Hz). (1968) was newly manufactured. With an output comparable to the EF65, it was used as a passenger and cargo towing aircraft in a wide range of areas from Honshu to Kyushu.
