This is the first new steel boxcar in the post-war era, and the Tem 100 is a 15-ton, two-axle vehicle with a two-stage link type running system, increasing the maximum operating speed to 75km/h. 850 cars were manufactured by 1963. In order to deal with the heat generated by the chemical reaction between the quicklime, which is the main cargo, and water, the structure is designed to prevent water leakage, and the floorboards, side panels, and roof are all made of steel plates.
