The DF200 type is an electric diesel locomotive developed by JR Freight and was introduced in 1992.
Since its appearance, it has been active only in Hokkaido, but some of the 100s were transferred to the Aichi Engine District from 2016, and at the same time they were converted to the 200s.
Starting in 2023, Unit 201 belonging to the Aichi Engine District will be wrapped in the image of scenery along the railway lines in Aichi and Mie prefectures.
The nickname was decided by an open call and was named Ai-Me.
