The E1 Series Shinkansen was introduced in 1994 and is Japan's first double-decker Shinkansen train, nicknamed Max.
From November 2003, the painting has changed significantly from the conventional paint, and it is dressed in white and dark blue similar to E2 series, and a pink belt with the image of a crested ibis is arranged on the coloring line.
