The EF210-300 is an electric locomotive that JR Freight started operating in 2013, and it appeared with detailed specifications changed based on the conventional EF210-100.
Originally, it was placed to replace the EF67 type electric locomotive as a rear auxiliary machine between Seno and Hachihonmatsu on the Sanyo Main Line, which is a difficult place with a steep slope.
For that reason, both ends are equipped with shock absorbers larger than the base EF210 type 100, and the underframe part is also extended.
It is also designed to be used as a regular machine, and as of 2022, it is expanding its field of activity to the Kanto area.
