Information
The Hojo Railway is a third-sector railway that connects Ao in Hyogo Prefecture with Hojo Town, and was born in April 1985 as a result of conversion from the JNR Hojo Line.
The Kiha 40-535 is a former JR (Japanese National Railways) diesel car, and was introduced to the Hojo Railway for the purpose of increasing its transportation capacity.
It was delivered to Hojo Railway in December 2021, and since then preparations have been made for the start of operation, and commercial operation started on March 13, 2022.
