Information
・In November 2021, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Katsuta Rolling Stock Center, to which all E531 series vehicles belong, JR East's Mito branch will use the E531 series 5-car train (K451 train) in Katsuta.
The color of the 401 series that was assigned when the Rolling Stock Center was established was changed to a red bean color and cream color "Red Den" to create a new and nos.
In addition to having a talgy, we made it a design that is loved by the locals.
・The E531 series "Akaden" is a 5-car formation (attached formation) for the Joban Line and Mito Line, which has additional equipment for one-man operation, and the top number K451 formation is selected.
The front is painted with red bean color (Red No. 13) and cream color (Cream No. 4), which are the 401 series paints, and the sides are wrapped.
・The operation section is centered on Mito, and in the north it covers Haranomachi in Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture on the Joban Line, and in the west it covers Oyama in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture on the Mito Line, and on the Ueno Tokyo Line.
With a range up to Shinagawa, it is widely active from the metropolitan area to local operations.
・The E531 series "Akaden" is scheduled to be active until around March 2023.
