Information
The 885 series is an AC limited express train with a pendulum mechanism developed by JR Kyushu based on the 883 series. In 2000, we started working on the Nagasaki Main Line as “Kamome” to improve the speed by replacing the conventional 485 series. The following year, in 2001, it was expanded for the “Sonic” and expanded the line of active lines to the Nippo Main Line, and is now active as a limited express train on the Kyushu line.
From 2010 (2010), the primary car that appeared as `` white seagull '' was also repainted with a blue belt in accordance with the additional secondary car, and the logo marks on various parts of the car body from `` gull seagull '' to `` Changed to "AROUND THE KYUSHU" and is active as "Kamome" and "Sonic".
